StickyWord (the "App") keeps your study record on your device. What you learn and what you save is never sent to a server.

02What stays on your device

The App has no accounts. The following is written to a local database only and is never transmitted.

Study record	Which words appeared on which day, review grades, next due dates, words you marked as already known
Saved words	Bookmarked words, pinned words and their order
Settings	Active word packs, gloss language, typeface, light/dark, reminder on/off and time, whether you've seen the tutorial
Purchase cache	A local copy of whether Plus is unlocked (the store holds the authoritative answer — see §3)

The word packs ship inside the app, so studying requires no network access at all.

03What is sent off the device

To diagnose failures and process purchases, the App uses the third-party services below. There are no other recipients.

(1) Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC) — crash reports

Stack trace and location of the crash
Device model, OS version, app version, language, and state such as memory and free storage
An anonymous installation identifier generated by Crashlytics

(2) Firebase Analytics (Google LLC) — usage statistics

Screen views (screen_view). The only value sent is the screen name: today, saved, review or settings
Whether Plus has been purchased (true / false)
Data the SDK collects automatically: an app instance ID (anonymous), automatic events such as first open, session start and app update, device model and OS version, approximate location at the country/region level, language and app version

(3) RevenueCat, Inc. and the App Store / Google Play — purchases

Contacted only when you buy Plus or restore a purchase.

The store receipt and the product identifier purchased
An anonymous app user ID generated by RevenueCat, and whether the Plus entitlement is active
Platform and app version

Payment details such as card numbers are handled by Apple and Google. Neither the App nor the operator ever receives them.

04What is never sent

Never your study content. Which words you studied, saved, or dismissed as already known is not included in any statistic.
No advertising ID. On Android the advertising-ID permission is explicitly removed from the manifest; on iOS the App uses the SDK variant without advertising-ID support, so no tracking prompt is shown.
No name, email address, phone number or postal address is requested.
No access to location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.
Nothing collected is used for advertising, sold, or shared with third parties.

05Why we collect it

To find and fix defects and keep the app stable
To see which parts of the app are actually used, and decide what to improve
To grant and restore the Plus entitlement you paid for

06Device permissions

The only permission requested is notifications, and it is optional. Decline it and everything except reminders still works.

07Notifications

The daily reminder is composed on the device and shown by the device itself at the time you set. There is no notification server, and no push channel (FCM / APNs) is used. Reminders can be turned off at any time in Settings.

08Retention and deletion

On-device data: deleted when you uninstall the app. Because there is no sync or backup, the operator cannot recover it for you.
Crashlytics / Analytics: retained for the periods set by Google and deleted automatically afterwards. To request earlier deletion, write to the address in §12.
Purchase records: retained by RevenueCat and the stores so that refunds and restores remain possible. Deleting them makes restoring a purchase impossible.

09Children

The App is not designed for or marketed to a specific age group. Children should use it under the supervision of a parent or guardian.

11Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, this page is updated and the "Last updated" date at the top is revised. Material changes, such as collecting a new category of data, are also announced inside the app.
